The Art of Jewelry is a small, family-owned business that has been making jewelry for more than 50 years. Our store first opened in Ellensburg and operated there until 2016. Now we’ve moved exclusively online for the next chapter in our business.

Our History
The Art of Jewelry opened in the 1970s as a one-man operation by jeweler and founder, Frank Erickson. Frank mastered fine jewelry and lost-wax techniques while working as an apprentice jeweler in Sausalito, California. He returned to Washington to open his own store focusing on the rare Ellensburg Blue agate.
The Art of Jewelry grew with the added the talents of Cristina Erickson, Frank's wife, who became part owner and jewelry designer in the late 80s.
The operation expanded to two Ellensburg locations on Main Street and Downtown Ellensburg. The Erickson’s later focused on just one location and launched their jewelry website early in the 2000s.
In 2012 their daughter Celeste joined the business and expanded the website to include e-commerce. After Frank's passing, Cristina and Celeste decided to close the storefront and focus on online retail.
Today, the Art of Jewelry is the leading retail website for fine Ellensburg Blue jewelry.
